THE PROM Will Make Regional Premiere At White Plains Performing Arts Center

The hit Broadway musical The Prom will make its regional theatre debut at White Plains Performing Arts Center as part of the theatre's 20th Anniversary Season. The musical features a book and lyrics by Chad Beguelin, music by Matthew Sklar, and a book by Bob Martin.

The Prom made its world premiere at The Alliance Theatre, Atlanta, GA, Susan V. Booth, Artistic Director, in 2016, and played its final performance at the Longacre Theatre on Broadway on August 11, 2019 after playing 23 previews and 310 regular performances.

The National tour is currently making its way across the United States.

Four eccentric Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town prom, they know that it's time to put a spotlight on the issue...and themselves. The town's parents want to keep the high school dance on the straight and narrow-but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. On a mission to transform lives, Broadway's brassiest join forces with a courageous girl and the town's citizens and the result is love that brings them all together.
